I want to talk about us…. Humans, I mean.

What the fuck is wrong with us? You've got to admit the world has a few problems and I can't help wondering if the planet wouldn't be better off without human beings. Think of it.

Human beings…..? Being what exactly?

We're a contradictory lot. One minute, creatively magnificent, the next, absolute arseholes. We're really a plague. A great, swarming plague. Completely out of control. Cockroaches in the kitchen of life!…

Now, if we are indeed a plague, we'd have all the accoutrements there-of, don't you think?

Seething population growth, pollution, deforestation, lots of rooting, erosion, famine, bad water, more rooting…

[ ~ Ooh - Love to love ya' baby - Ooh ~ ]

Cockroaches in the kitchen of life!.. And you know, we're never, ever consistent…...

With one unpleasant exception.

Our penchant for destruction.

[ ~ War! What is it good for? Absolutely nothin' etc ~ ]

Now, it should be noted here that until very recently Earth didn't have a state of war, as such. Instead, we had what's fashionably known as a ‘conflict'.

Throw in a few foreign incursions, a plethora of border disputes, one internationally recognised crisis, instances of ethnic cleansing, several peace keeping projects, the odd military take-over, a few minor skirmishes and a bit of rock throwing, but no war……… Of course it's all different now. Suddenly our safe, secure little bubble has well and truly burst.

[ Everywhere hate. War. Religious atrocity.

It's the same God what are they fighting for?

Love, love, love, love. Love can make a difference.

Go with your heart. Think. Open the door. ]

There is no value in blame - It's nobody's fault.

Coz, how can we expect world peace, when we all continually act like idiots? For instance, what the hell is road rage?

Such aggression. In a peaceful community? Who is responsible? Is it the bastard in the other car?

I think not. They are, at worst, an ordinary driver - and there's plenty of them.

Only one person can save the world and it's not Bruce Willis… World peace begins right here. At home, with us!

After all, we are human beings ……..

It's also entirely possible that Mother Earth may yet intervene in her own defence.
